(As of 2022)Oxly - Boats (ISSN 3054-4858) is a private website run by journalist Thomas Gade, who, as a boat owner, primarily publishes his own tests and experience reports on everything related to boats. No moorings, goods, or services related to boating are offered here. You may occasionally find references to relevant manufacturers or providers in our texts. If you have questions, please contact them directly.
Copyright: The texts and images are protected by copyright. Everyone may read or view them here free of charge. The use of my works or those of other authors (even in excerpts) by third parties requires payment and prior written permission. Each author is free to decide - without giving reasons - whether they allow their works to be used externally. There is no entitlement to such permission. If third-party use is granted, the current fee schedule of the Mittelstandsgemeinschaft Foto-Marketing (MFM) serves as a guideline for photo compensation.
Authors
Most articles are written by Thomas Gade. If not, guest authors are named. The authors and the webmaster assume no liability for the completeness or accuracy of captions or information in the presented images and text files. Errors are reserved.1. A large portion of the photos are documentary images taken in public spaces, often showing people who happened to be in the frame and did not sign a model release. There may also be protected elements such as official emblems, logos, trademarks, artworks, buildings, and more, for which special publication conditions or permissions may be required.
Authors can only grant usage rights within the scope of their own copyrights. Obtaining permission from additional rights holders is the responsibility of users, including any associated costs.
Users are solely responsible and liable for any infringement of third-party rights. Should claims for damages arise, users must indemnify the respective authors and the webmaster of oxly.de.
Any use that disparages or demeans individuals, official symbols, religions, trademarks, or cultural assets is strictly prohibited, as is use for illustrating extreme political or ideological content.
2. Links to External Websites
I am sometimes asked to include links to external websites. If a target page genuinely fits well with an article, it may be possible to include text links or non-animated banners with direct links to an external site. Example: I find a product useful for boat maintenance and write about it. The manufacturer then asks me to list them as a source with a link to their shop. Sometimes I do this, but I am free to decline any request without explanation or to ignore it entirely. This is not an advertising platform!
